Prof. WANG Bin
Biography
Prof. Bin Wang received his B.S. and M.S. degrees on Communication and Electronic Systems from XiDian University, Xian, China, in 1985 and 1988, respectively, and his Ph.D. degree on System Science from Kobe University, Japan, in1999. After his graduation from XiDian University, he had worked at XiDian University as a teacher. From 1999 to 2000, he had worked for Communications Research Laboratory, Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications, Japan, as a
Research Fellow. Then, as a Senior Supervisor, he had worked for the Department of Etching in Tokyo Electron AT Ltd., Japan, from 2001 to 2002. Since Sept. 2002, he has been with the Department of Electronic Engineering, Fudan University, Shanghai, China, where he is currently a leader of image and intelligence laboratory. He has published more than 60 scientific papers in the domestic and international important periodicals, and has several patents.
Research Fields
His present research interests are signal and image processing, pattern recognition, remote sensing image processing, intelligent information processing and brain science research, etc. They mainly include: (1) multispectral/hyperspectral remote sensing image processing and analysis, (2) automatic target detection and recognition, (3) visual attention selective models and their applications in image processing, (4) intelligent information processing theory, methods and
applications, (5) EEG and MEG signal processing and analysis.
