Prof. HU Bo

Biography
Prof. Bo Hu received his PhD degree from Fudan University in July 1996. He was research assistant at the Hongkong University of Science & Technology (1994-1997), associate professor at Fudan University (1999-2000). He has been full professor at Fudan University since 2001 where he currently serves as the Vice Dean of Information Science and Engineering School since Feb. 2010. He serves as council member of Shanghai Institute of Electronics since 2008. He is also a technical committee member on Blind Signal Processing of IEEE CAS Society, committee member of IEEE Shanghai Section, vice chair of IEEE CAS Shanghai Chapter. He has been Principal Investigator of more than 10 High Technology Research and Development Program(863), NSF of China and Shanghai research grants from government, and has (co-)authored more than 20 top journal publications.

(1) Digital Communication: Wireless Channel Identification and Equalization,Signal Processing in Wireless Communication and Sensor Network;
(2) Digital Image and Video Processing: VideoCoding and Decoding, Robust Transmission of Multimedia Stream, Visual Object Detection and Tracking;
(3) DigitalSystem Design: Image and video system design and implementation based on DSP, Embedded Core, etc.
