A seminar on Scientific and Engineering Computing

Published:2011-12-12
Abstract

In this talk the dissipative particle dynamics (DPD) method will be presented that can potentially bridge the scales between continuum and atomistic descriptions in fluids and soft matter. In addition, a “triple-decker” algorithm will be introduced that uses DPD as a middle layer between molecular dynamics and Navier-Stokes equations. Applications will be drawn from microfluidics and blood microcirculation.
