Fudan Holds the International Symposium on Remote Sensing Intelligent Processing 2017
The International Symposium on Remote Sensing Intelligent Processing (RSIP) 2017 was successfully held at Yifu Science and Technology Building in Fudan University from May 19 to 21. This conference was sponsored by Key Laboratory of EMW Information/Institute of Electromagnetic Big Data and Remote Sensing Intelligence of Fudan University, and co-organized by IEEE GRSS.
The Conference was chaired by JIN Yaqiu, Academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences and professor at Fudan University. Invited guests included Karmal Sarabandi, Former Chairman of IEEE GRSS and Director of Michigan Radiation Laboratory, Paolo Gamba, Executive Vice Chairman of IEEE GRSS and professor at Pavia University, Mihai Datcu, IEEE fellow and professor at German Aerospace Center (DLR), Lorenzo Bruzzone, Editor in Chief of IEEE GRS Magazine and professor at Trento University, H.K. Ramapriyan, IEEE GRSS Distinguished Speaker, ZHU Xiaoxiang, Associate Editor of IEEE TGRS and professor at Technical University of Munich and DLR, and XU Feng, Chair of IEEE GRSS Shanghai Chapter and professor at Fudan University. More than 150 scholars including representatives from Chinese Academy of Sciences, Xi'an Electronic and Science University, Xi'an Jiaotong University etc. attended the Conference.
This Conference, for the first time in the world, put forward the research direction of intelligent processing and big data of remote sensing, and discussed the application of deep learning and other machine learning algorithms in remote sensing data processing. It was intended to promote the development of artificial intelligence information processing technologies such as deep learning in the field of remote sensing, strengthen international academic exchanges and collaboration, cultivate young talents, and explore the developing trend of relevant disciplines.
