Roundtable on IP and Innovation held in Shanghai Forum 2016

The 11th Shanghai Forum opened at Shanghai International Convention Center on May 28, 2016. The Roundtable on Intellectual Property and Innovation, co-hosted by the School of Information Science and Technology and Fudan Development Institute, chaired by ZHENG Lirong, Dean of the School of Information Science and Technology, was held on the afternoon of the same day.

 

The Roundtable was presided over by ZHANG Lifen, professor of journalism at Fudan University and Founding Editor of FT Chinese. Lv Guoqiang, Director of the Shanghai Intellectual Property Administration, and David Kappos, the Former U.S. Under Secretary of Commerce, were invited to give keynote speeches from the innovation perspective. Representatives from the academia and industry including Fudan University, Peking University, BCG, Xiaomi, ZEROTECH, etc. participated in the Roundtable discussion.

 

The Roundtable discussion tried to answer the questions, which phase enterprises in China are now experiencing, what direction they should move along to the next step, what experiences at home and abroad can be shared and learned, and what is the demand of these enterprises. The highly valuable viewpoints from the discussion have drawn wide attention from media domestically and abroad.
