The Celebration Ceremony of 10th anniversary of SIST (School of Information Science and Technology) was held on the morning of Oct. 17th, 2010. The number of participants was about 600 including Shao-De Qin, the Party Secretary, Yi-Hua Zhang, Vice President of Fudan Univ., Wei-Qi Wang and Dian-Yuan Fan, Members of Chinese Academy of Engineering, Fu-Xi Gan, Member of Chinese Academy of Science as well as other top scientists in IT field from domestic and abroad, deans of famed Information Schools, delegation of schoolfellows, teachers and students. Party Secretary Shao-De Qin addressed the ceremony on the point of future developments.

Prof. Xing Zhang, Dean of School of Micro-electronics & Software, Peking University, introduced the history and cooperation between Peking University and Fudan University.

Prof. Thomas Gessner from Chemnitz University, who is also standing as Director of Fraunhofer Electronics and Nano System Laboratory, Special consultant of the President of Germany, addressed the meeting on the topic of the future development and collaborations between Chemnitz University and Fudan University.

Professor Li-Rong Zheng, Dean of SIST, made a brief introduction of SIST’s overview and 10-year-history regarding the education, research and achievements, and a new thought of SIST’s future development was introduced at the end.
