In the afternoon of Feb. 25th, 2011, Mr. Nathan Wright, Chief Representative of Alberta Shanghai Office, and Mr. R G Goebel, Professor from Department of Computing Science, Alberta University, visited SIST.

Prof. Goebel once gave a lecture at Fudan in 1986. This was his second time visiting Fudan. During the talk with Prof. Ran Liu, the Dean of Internationalization of SIST, he showed the intent to make collaboration with SIST in terms of staff and student exchange, joint research, etc.

Mr. Wright told us that they were always looking forward to making connects on institutional level and finding ways to realize technology commercialization. The Shanghai Office is to become a bridge between Alberta and China, which helps promote future collaborations.
