On the morning of February 28, 2012, Dr. Kamran Iqbal, Professor of the Systems Engineering Department of Arkansas University, visited the School of Information Science and Technology(SIST), and was invited to give a speech on the topic of "Medical Simulation: Recent Advances and Key Challenges" to the faculty and students in the Department of Electronic Engineering (EE). Prof. Ran Liu, the Dean of Internationalization of SIST, and Prof. Xiang Li, the Head of EE Department attended the welcoming ceremony.

 
Founded in 1871, the University of Arkansas (UARK) is a public comprehensive research university located in south-central United States. Its main campus locates in Fayetteville, the third largest city in Arkansas, and other branch campuses include University of Arkansas at Monticello, University of Arkansas at Little Rock, etc.
