Visit by University of Turku

The Department of Information Technology, University of Turku, Finland, paid a week-long visit to the School of Information Science and Technology (SIST), Fudan University starting on May 28, 2012. The main task of the visit include implementing the important consensus reached by the Presidents of the two universities, discussing the revolution of engineering education at both undergraduate level and graduate level and deepening communication and exchanges between the two universities.

 

The Fudan-Turku joint education mode was first discussed by the Presidents of the two universities when Fudan President Yuliang Yang visited Turku University in early May this year, and the two sides expressed a positive willingness to cooperate in plenty of areas.

 

On June 1st, the last day of the visit, a mini-workshop was held at Guanghua Tower, in which the Turku delegation met the faculty of SIST and introduced their new teaching ideas and reformed curriculum structure. "Engineer meets Human" is the slogan and training objective of the expected joint program.

 

The collaboration agreement is expected to be signed at the end of this year, and the exchange program is planned to start from next January if the process is not disturbed.
