Professor John Senior, Pro-Vice Chancellor of University of Hertfordshire (UH) in UK, paid an annual visit to School of Information Science and Technology (SIST) of Fudan University (FDU) on the afternoon of March 21st, 2013. He was welcomed by Professor Ran Liu, Dean for Internationalization, Professor Yi-wei Shi, Dean for Graduate Education, and Professor Nan Chi, Head of Department of Communication Science and Engineering, SIST.

Professor Senior, Pro-Vice Chancellor, as well as Dean of Faculty of Science, Technology and Creative Arts, UH, has always been working on promoting the cooperation on scientific research between UH and FDU. And the Memorandum of Understanding between the two sides was signed in May, 2012, facilitated by Professor Senior. In the talks, after a careful comparison of the research fields of both schools, the two sides decided to develop scientific research cooperation and provide joint supervision of graduate students for higher degrees in wireless communication and ASIC application.

Additionally, the UH-FDU Summer School Programme has been successfully held twice and critically acclaimed. This programme will continue this year when students of Fudan University will have a chance to travel to UK and enjoy the experience of British culture.
