Prof. ZHENG Li-Rong

Prof. Li-Rong Zheng received his Ph. D. degree in Electronic System Design from the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Stockholm, Sweden in 2001. Since then he was with KTH as a research fellow, associate professor, and full professor. He became an Ericsson expert in 2007. He is the founder and director of iPack VINN Excellence Center at KTH. He was a guest professor of Fudan University since 2008 and a distinguished professor since 2010. His research experience and interest includes electronic circuits and systems for ambient intelligence and media applications, wireless sensors and the internet-of-things, where he has authored and co-authored over 200 international reviewed publications.
Research Fields
Embedded radio and intelligent sensor systems, wireless System-on-Chip, 3D networks-on-chip, decomposable and green electronics, system-in-package and heterogeneous integration, and their applications in communication, media and ambient intelligence, including RFID and the Internet-of-Things, networked media chipsets, electronics for biomedical applications, large area and printable electronics, hybrid media etc.
